BCCN - Chapter 105

Chapter 105

The next afternoon, the streets outside were extremely lively, with people coming and going, talking loudly, and the cries of vendors echoing one after another.

Xia Linxia rolled over, sucked in a sharp breath, and sat up with a start. She looked at the messy room; the gauze from the bed curtains was torn and scattered all over the floor, and their clothes were strewn about.

She quietly glanced down at her body, which was completely bare and covered in countless red marks. No matter how you looked at it, it was a scene of unrestrained indulgence.

Footsteps approached from outside the door. She quickly lay back down, pulling the covers up tightly around herself.

She watched as a refreshed and energetic Ji Fengxue walked in, carrying a basin of hot water. The events of last night suddenly became clear in her mind, and her face flushed red. She said angrily, “You took advantage of my predicament!”

“You were the one begging me,” Ji Fengxue said as she wrung out a hot towel, wiped Xia Linxia’s face, and then pulled out her arm to wipe it as well.

Xia Linxia suddenly jolted awake. “You’re not mute?”

“I already told you, I’m Ji Fengxue,” Ji Fengxue sighed. “You were crying and calling my name last night, have you forgotten already?”

Xia Linxia’s pupils quaked. “You! You’re that damn Ji Fengxue?!”

“Yes, it’s me.” Ji Fengxue didn’t stand on ceremony with her either, directly lifting the covers and turning her over to wipe her back.

Xia Linxia squeezed her eyes shut. “If you’ve got the guts, then kill me. Otherwise, when I recover my strength, I’ll definitely cut you into a thousand pieces and use you to make wine.”

Ji Fengxue decided to just hit her pressure points, then wiped her down from top to bottom before rolling her up in the covers.

Xia Linxia’s eyes were spitting fire, and her mouth didn’t stop either. “You wretched woman, pretending to be deaf and mute, disguising your identity, kicking me when I’m down, taking advantage of my situation! I will kill you to vent my hatred!”

“Oh,” Ji Fengxue said, picking up her clothes. “If you keep shouting, I’ll burn these clothes.”

Sob.” Xia Linxia was at a loss for words.

As dusk approached, Ji Fengxue brought in a few small dishes, pinching her chin to feed her. Xia Linxia refused to eat, biting her lip tightly and not daring to make a sound.

Unable to do anything else, Ji Fengxue took a sip of soup and directly blocked her mouth with her own. Xia Linxia was so surprised that she opened her mouth, and the lotus root soup trickled down her throat and into her stomach.

She glared at Ji Fengxue fiercely, but the tips of her ears quietly turned red, and she obediently began to eat the soft food.

After nightfall, Xia Linxia saw her go out. Using the little inner energy she had recovered, she broke free from the pressure points, got out of bed, put on her clothes, and walked to the window to look at the full moon outside. Pursing her lips, she leaped out of the window.

Not far behind the inn was a bamboo forest. She needed to find her trusted follower and then kill him. However, she only found a corpse, killed by a single sword thrust to the throat. A faint guess formed in her mind, but she didn’t understand what Ji Fengxue’s intentions were.

She fired a signal arrow; her subordinates should arrive soon. She had only taken a couple of steps when her legs gave out, and she suddenly fell, rolling a few times before grabbing onto a bamboo stalk to stop herself.

She sat down against the bamboo, dejected, and angrily slashed at the bamboo across from her with her sword. Thinking about the past two days’ ordeal, she couldn’t help but hug her knees and bury her head, crying silently.

After crying for who knows how long, the chirping of birds started in the forest. She looked up and was startled to see the person in white in front of her. She let out a hiccup from her crying. “You wretched woman, why are you following me again!”

“Who’s following whom?” Ji Fengxue said with amusement. “What, did you get lost tracking me and are now crying your eyes out here?”

“Cry your sister!”

Ji Fengxue smiled faintly. Xia Linxia stared at her smile for a moment, then reached out to push her away.

Ji Fengxue deftly dodged and pulled out a roasted lotus-leaf-wrapped chicken from behind her back. “Hungry?”

“Not hungry,” she said, but then her stomach growled in response. Her face turned red. “It’s my stomach that’s hungry, it has nothing to do with me.”

“Then let’s feed your stomach.” Ji Fengxue sat down beside her, opened the lotus leaf, and the chicken, roasted to a golden brown and glistening with juice, exuded the fragrance of the lotus leaf. It almost made Xia Linxia drool again.

Ji Fengxue tore off a piece of meat and held it to her lips. “Eat. Don’t make me feed you.”

Xia Linxia, remembering how she fed people, deeply understood what it meant to be a wise person who adapts to the circumstances. As she bit into the meat, she didn’t forget to bite her finger in retaliation.

“Mm, you bit me just like this last night,” Ji Fengxue said.

“Pah! Shameless! You dog of a woman, go to hell!” Xia Linxia cursed as she continued to eat the meat from her hand. “When I fully recover my strength, I’ll definitely kill you and make you into kebabs.”

“Oh.”

After eating half the chicken, Xia Linxia suddenly asked, “What have you been doing here these past two days?”

Ji Fengxue replied, “Killing people.”

A chill ran down Xia Linxia’s neck. “Killing who?”

Ji Fengxue glanced at her but didn’t answer.

“Aren’t you a member of the righteous path? How can you just kill people randomly?”

A short blade appeared in Ji Fengxue’s hand, pressing against her neck. She said in a low voice, “If someone held a knife to your neck, could you resist fighting back?”

It dawned on Xia Linxia. Although she was the Martial Arts Alliance Leader, there were plenty who coveted her position. The ones who wanted her dead weren’t just the demons like them, but also many more beasts in human skin.

But for some reason, hearing Ji Fengxue’s question, she looked down at the sharp blade and felt no fear or nervousness in her heart. She said instinctively, “You won’t kill me.”

“Why not?” Ji Fengxue pressed the blade closer, against her skin. A slightly deeper breath could injure her. “Do you think I’m really some kind of good person?”

“No.” Xia Linxia instinctively moved back a little, her eyes catching a glimpse of her purse. “You like me, don’t you? Why else would you give me a purse?”

“?”

Xia Linxia pursed her lips. “I know you’re shy, but you’ve already shown me with your actions. But I will reject you, because the righteous and demonic paths cannot coexist. My brother will never allow you to enter the Xia family’s gates.”

“??”

Ji Fengxue didn’t want to talk to an idiot. Her ears twitched, and she sat silently in place. A moment later, a rustling sound was heard, and soon the surrounding area was filled with members of the Demonic Cult, who all knelt down in unison. “Lord!”

Xia Linxia was overjoyed and suddenly hit Ji Fengxue’s pressure points. “Quick, tie this woman up for me!”

“Yes!”

Ji Fengxue was tied up in a few moves. Xia Linxia smugly grabbed the rope around her wrist. “You dog of a woman, you’ve fallen into my hands. I’ll make you wish you were dead!”

A subordinate asked, “Lord, should we steam or braise her?”

“Braise her.”

“Yes!” The subordinate gave the order, and soon a braised fish was presented. “Lord, please enjoy!”

Xia Linxia gnawed on the fish while pulling Ji Fengxue along. “You guys arrived just in time. For now, lie low in the town. On the day of the Martial Arts Conference, we’ll storm the mountain in one fell swoop.”

“Yes! But Lord, this young lady is...?”

Xia Linxia paused, looked back at Ji Fengxue, then at the group of drooling lechers, and frowned. “What are you thinking? She’s just a suitor of mine.”

“So it’s the Lord’s wife.”

“Pfft—” Xia Linxia spat the meat right in his face, then looked back awkwardly. She saw a subtle curve on Ji Fengxue’s lips, but it vanished in the next second, as if it were just an illusion.

She turned and smacked her subordinate on the head. “Get lost. Her? Is she worthy?”

The news that the Martial Arts Alliance Leader had been captured by the Demon Lord spread like wildfire.

The entire martial world was in a state of panic.

Xia Linxia lay on the large bed in the inn, in a rather good mood. She tugged on the rope. “Come here, massage my legs.”

Ji Fengxue knelt down to massage her legs, but with her hands tied, her strength was minimal, and it soon turned into tickling.

“Pfft hahaha! Stop it, I’m not playing anymore, stop!” Xia Linxia rolled around on the bed from being tickled. “Oh my, I can’t, I’m going to laugh myself weak.”

The hands finally stopped. She caught her breath, only to feel someone press down on her. Two hands were placed on either side of her head, and the person was looking down at her, their eyes full of affection, almost drowning her in them.

Before Xia Linxia could even think, her lips were met with softness, and then it was unstoppable.

A row of Demonic Cultists sat on the roof, protecting their boss. Hearing a cry from within the room, they worried something had happened to their boss and all pressed themselves against the tiles, ready to act.

“Mmm... Ji Fengxue, do you believe I’ll kill you!”

“Sob, sob, you may have my body, but you’ll never have my heart!”

“Yes, right there... haah!”

“Mmm... don’t, don’t, don’t stop!”

The men were shocked, looking at each other and discussing, “Did they finally start fighting?”

“You think the master will be alright? The Martial Arts Alliance Leader is highly skilled.”

“She’s highly skilled but still tied up by our master. It’s fine, it’s fine.”

Just then, a series of intermittent cries came from the room. That didn’t sound like Xia Linxia at all!

The subordinates lifted a tile and shouted, “Ji Fengxue, you villain! Don’t you dare harm our master!”

Xia Linxia: “Get lost!!!”

“Yes, sir.”

The subordinate replaced the tile, turned to the others, and muttered, “What kind of fight are they having? Why are there clothes all over the floor?”

The news that the Demon Lord had been captured by the Martial Arts Alliance Leader spread like wildfire.

Xia Linxia was furious with herself. She had been momentarily captivated by beauty, and now she had been caught instead. She struggled against the ropes on her wrists. “Devious and manipulative, using your looks to serve your own ends! Untie me this instant!”

Ji Fengxue leisurely sipped her tea, unconcerned. The main hall was still filled with people eating, and the Demonic Cultists were at the next table, furious but silent. The moment they made a move, Ji Fengxue would threaten to wring Xia Linxia’s neck.

Xia Linxia looked at the rice in her bowl, lowered her head, and buried her face in it. After taking a bite, her entire face was covered in rice grains, and she looked up blankly.

Ji Fengxue almost spat out her tea.

Just then, a group of young women came down the stairs. Xia Linxia looked up and froze.

The young women all had scented pouches identical to hers hanging from their waists.

“Why do they have one too? Did you buy these in bulk!” Xia Linxia demanded.

“What things?” Ji Fengxue asked.

“The scented pouches!”

At that moment, a waiter nearby replied, “These scented pouches are anniversary gifts from the inn. Every room has one.”

Xia Linxia glared at him, glanced at Ji Fengxue, stood up, and kicked the table over, causing a commotion among the surrounding people. Then she stormed out without looking back.

Ji Fengxue immediately chased after her. Seeing her use her lightness skill to leap across the rooftops, she had no choice but to follow.

And so, the people of Wuyi Town saw two figures, one in black and one in white, flashing past.

Before long, Xia Linxia’s pace slowed. After fighting with Ji Fengxue on the bed last night, and now with her hands tied, she was running out of strength. She finally stopped by a lake, and the person behind her immediately grabbed her arm.

“You want a scented pouch?” Ji Fengxue asked.

Xia Linxia turned to look at the lake’s surface and was horrified. She frantically wiped the rice grains from her face, then, feeling utterly humiliated, she kicked out at the person.

Ji Fengxue fell into the lake with the momentum.

“Ji Fengxue!” Xia Linxia was shocked and jumped in after her, only to forget she was still tied up. She flailed a couple of times and began to sink.

Xia Linxia slowly closed her eyes, thinking she was going to die. Just then, someone wrapped their arms around her waist and gave her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

She opened her eyes slightly, and then she was lifted out of the water, coughing violently. It took her a while to look at Ji Fengxue. The other woman was soaked, her black hair glistening, her face dotted with water droplets. A hint of worry showed in her delicate features, her eyes deep and filled with a dense fear. Anyone who didn’t know better would think she was terrified of her dying.

I must be overthinking it again, she thought.

Ji Fengxue took her back to the inn and ordered the waiter to prepare a large tub of hot water. The waiter immediately understood, not only adding flower petals to the water but also including a stick of aphrodisiac incense.

Once the two were alone, Ji Fengxue untied Xia Linxia’s robes and carried her into the water. Xia Linxia didn’t resist, her expression listless.

A moment later, she watched as Ji Fengxue also stripped and stepped in. Her expression became more animated, and she kicked her a few times in the tub. “How long are you going to keep me tied up!”

“I don’t know. If I let you go, won’t you just tie me up, humiliate me, and then abandon me? Naturally, I have to strike first.”

“I won’t,” Xia Linxia said. “If you let me go, I absolutely won’t cause you any trouble. I’ll never appear in your life again. Let’s just part ways here.”

Ji Fengxue frowned slightly, a wave of irritation rising in her heart for no reason.

The two bathed in silence. The scent of the incense grew stronger. Xia Linxia felt a bit hot and said unhappily, “Hurry up and untie me. You don’t want to get mixed up with a demoness like me either, right? What will those righteous people say about you? Be careful, or your position as Alliance Leader won’t be secure.”

Xia Linxia was determined to leave.

Seeing this, Ji Fengxue untied the ropes and the pressure points on her upper body. “You’re free...”

Xia Linxia stood up and put on her robes, her hands trembling slightly.

She was a little angry. How could she so easily say she was free? Was she the only one who had harbored inappropriate thoughts all this time?

She turned around, only to see Ji Fengxue in the steamy wooden tub, her head resting on the edge, looking up at her. Her long hair and the curves of her body were hidden in the water, her neckline distinct, her eyes misty. She exuded an indescribable allure.

She walked over and looked down into Ji Fengxue’s eyes. Her wet eyelashes trembled slightly, and her own reflection was visible in her pupils.

She glanced to the side, pulled down the red cord tying back the bed curtains, and then tied Ji Fengxue’s wrists with it. She didn’t hit her pressure points or use force. If Ji Fengxue resisted, she could surely push her away.

But Ji Fengxue didn’t.

“How could I let you off so easily? It’s time for you to pay your debt.” Xia Linxia’s eyes were red, her voice hoarse. Fully clothed, she leaped into the wooden tub, creating a splash and a sound—

Afterward, she carried her to the bed. Ji Fengxue’s usually cold and icy face now looked bewitchingly demonic. The red knot on her wrist was caught on the bedpost, making her look completely at the mercy of others. She writhed with her movements, her red lips growing more tender and vibrant, murmuring her name, her voice soft and seductive.

Xia Linxia wanted to just kill her, so that no one else could see this demonic scene.

A sliver of white appeared on the horizon. Ji Fengxue finally fell into an exhausted sleep. When she woke up, Xia Linxia was nowhere to be found.

She got up, looked at the mottled marks on her body, and slowly got dressed. She ordered someone to come and clean the room.

The waiter, seeing her looking as cold as a widow, suspected the incense from last night hadn’t worked. Upon careful inspection, he realized he had indeed given them the wrong incense. He had mistaken mosquito coils for aphrodisiac incense.
