Qiu Chi stared at the man, expressionless and motionless.
Since Qiu Chi didn't go over, the man could only get up and walk toward her, muttering to himself with a hint of confusion in his eyes, "It's not broken, is it?"

Qiu Chi: "Heh!"
As he got closer, the man raised his hand to touch Qiu Chi's head, but she immediately stepped aside to dodge, still staring at him without any expression.

Qiu Chi had to forcefully suppress the urge to curse him out just to keep from yelling.
She took a few deep breaths and said, "My name is Qiu Chi!"
Alice was an exclusive robot specially customized by the man before her, Jian Yu. She was created for Jian Yu. She had many functions, but all of them were to serve him, and her highest directive was: always obey Jian Yu, even if it meant sacrificing everything.
And she did indeed sacrifice everything for Jian Yu.
But in Jian Yu's heart, she was just a robot.
Even after many years, when he looked back, Alice was still just a robot. She held no special place in Jian Yu's heart.
If there was anything special to say, it was probably that she was the robot he had specially customized for himself right after he came of age.
Jian Yu wasn't actually in the wrong, but Qiu Chi felt incredibly frustrated!

Not hitting him was her final act of kindness.
Probably finding Qiu Chi stubborn, Jian Yu said with great dissatisfaction, "Alice, don't forget your place. Just because I'm nice to you doesn't give you a reason to do whatever you want."
After speaking, he paused, waiting for Qiu Chi to admit she was wrong.
But Qiu Chi just shot him a cold glance, unwilling to say another word.
Jian Yu simply turned and walked away.
Qiu Chi found a place to sit and sighed.
To be fair, Jian Yu had treated Alice quite well in the beginning. After all, she was a robot he had specially customized.
But over time, Alice developed her own consciousness, while Jian Yu's attitude toward her grew less enthusiastic.
After all, Jian Yu was a man.
A handsome man from a wealthy and privileged family, at that.
He had his own kind.
Alice's world contained only Jian Yu, but in Jian Yu's world, Alice occupied just a tiny corner.
Jian Yu didn't know that Alice had developed her own consciousness because, in his eyes, she had always been the same and never changed.
As an adult man, he began bringing different women home. Whenever this happened, Alice would feel terrible, but she didn't know why.
She was a robot; she didn't even know how to cry, so naturally, she couldn't understand why she felt so awful.
She didn't know what affection or love was. She only knew that she was created for Jian Yu and that she should give everything for him.
Qiu Chi: "..." She just wanted to kill someone!
By now, Jian Yu had already started bringing women home. Today, he was simply bored and happened to remember the robot he had cast aside, which led to the scene that occurred when Qiu Chi first arrived.
Now that Qiu Chi wasn't cooperating, he was naturally extremely dissatisfied. Not long after going inside, he came out again and left the manor directly without even glancing at her.
Needless to say, he was off to find another woman.
Jian Yu hadn't always been like this, but he changed after a certain day.
Because Alice was a robot that belonged only to him, he could tell her anything without reservation, unafraid that she would betray him. As a result, Alice knew quite a lot.

But realizing it didn't mean he could accept it, especially with the shift in his family's attitude.
There was still one thing Jian Yu hadn't told Alice.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have gone from having his fighting spirit ignited to becoming a debauched womanizer after a night of heavy drinking.
But even though there were things Jian Yu hadn't told Alice, it didn't stop her from feeling sorry for him and detesting the man who had made him this way.
Yet she still couldn't do anything, simply because of her status.
In the beginning, when Jian Yu was still nice to her, he would take her out. But later, he did so less and less.
Alice's life as a robot was exceptionally dull. She was like a canary Jian Yu kept in a cage, only able to look at the outside world from within the manor through an electric fence. She couldn't leave, because Jian Yu forbade it.
However, these were Alice's memories. Other people would appear later in the plot.
As for Qiu Chi, she needed to properly understand this world, so she prepared to stay cooped up in the house just like Alice.
The difference, however, was that Alice had no choice, whereas Qiu Chi was doing it voluntarily.
At dinnertime, Jian Yu returned with a woman in his arms, as expected.
He frowned at the empty dining table. The woman leaned against him and said in a sweet, delicate voice, "I know how to cook. I can make you dinner. Do you want to try my cooking?"
Jian Yu lifted the woman's fair, delicate hand, kissed it, and said, "These hands are so well-cared for. How could they be used for cooking?"
The woman smiled, pressing her lips together. "It's fine to do it once in a while. I'm more than willing to cook for you. Just tell me if you want to try it~"
"Since my darling insists, how could I possibly disagree?"
The woman gave Jian Yu a kiss on the lips before heading into the kitchen.
Jian Yu's expression, however, darkened, and he prepared to go find Qiu Chi to settle the score.
