Chapter 110
Xi Li had indeed been teleported over.
After all, he had always believed in seeing an act through to the end.
But now, seeing this scene, he only wanted to go back in time and kill his former self.
Qiu Chi, on the other hand, raised an eyebrow and greeted him, “Yo, you’re here, War God.”
When the immortals tied up by Qiu Chi saw Xi Li, their eyes immediately lit up.
Although they were wary of Qiu Chi’s strength, it didn’t mean they thought she could defeat Xi Li.
Now that Xi Li had arrived, they wanted him to stand up for them.
So the group of immortals, along with Su Qin, all began calling out to Xi Li for help.
Su Qin said, “War God Xi Li, I beg you, for my father’s sake, please save me. Fairy Lingling wants to kill me, and I don’t know how I offended her…”
Su Qin wanted to continue her usual hesitant act, but the tied-up immortals gave her no chance. She had only paused for a moment before her voice was drowned out by the others.
“War God, please save us! Lingling has gone mad! She actually tied all of us up.”
“She even wants to kill us! I must report this to the Heavenly Emperor, no matter what. Lingling must be punished!”
Qiu Chi propped her chin on one hand, casually playing with a piece of jade in the other as she watched the show unfold.
Xi Li felt a massive headache coming on.
“What is all this noise? Lingling, you speak first. What exactly happened? Why did you tie them up?”
The War God was the War God, after all. The moment he spoke, all the other voices instantly fell silent.
Qiu Chi said leisurely, “It’s exactly as you see. I tied them up to settle a score. What, do you want to get justice for them and punish me?”
Xi Li fell silent.
Did he want to?
Of course he did!
He even wished he could extract her soul for refinement and tear her body into a million pieces!
But what good would wanting it do?
If his answer dissatisfied Qiu Chi in the slightest, he had no doubt she would lash out with her whip.
He himself didn’t care if these immortals were killed, but the situation couldn’t be allowed to continue.
In a flash, Xi Li had already decided on another plan.
He said, “We should at least talk about the cause and effect. You’re not the type to make trouble for no reason. You must have a reason for doing this.”
The immortals who had been begging Xi Li for help, along with Su Qin, were all utterly stunned.
Although what he said made a bit of sense, they were the ones tied up and being bullied right now, weren’t they?
Su Qin’s shock, however, stemmed from something else: hadn’t everyone said the War God had driven that woman out? Why was he actually protecting her now?!
Compared to their disbelief, Qiu Chi was much calmer. “What you said this time actually sounds a bit like a person talking. Although I know you’re not up to any good, seeing as you haven’t disgusted me, I’ll let it slide for now.”
Qiu Chi’s arrogant words to Xi Li left them reeling in shock once again.
Xi Li was in an exceptionally bad mood, yet he said nothing.
Qiu Chi turned her gaze to the slightly trembling Su Qin and smiled. “As it happens, I recorded everything that occurred inside the barrier that day.”
Finished, Qiu Chi turned back to the group of tied-up immortals. “Originally, I just wanted to settle the score for you spreading rumors about me, and then have you do a little something for me to call it even. But now, I’m very unhappy with your attitude. You’ll need to do something extra.”
They really didn’t want to compromise with Qiu Chi, so they looked at Xi Li with pleading eyes.
Xi Li said, “These are your private affairs. Handle them yourselves. This Venerable One will take his leave.”
Before his voice had even faded, Xi Li vanished.
The tied-up immortals were utterly shocked. They truly never expected the War God to be this kind of War God!
With Xi Li gone, they could only yield to Qiu Chi. “You… what do you want us to do for you?”
Qiu Chi ignored them, instead gazing thoughtfully in the direction Xi Li had disappeared.
For someone as concerned with his reputation as Xi Li to take the initiative to leave… no matter how she looked at it, something was off.
This group of immortals probably didn’t have long to live.
In that case, she might as well use them one last time.
