BBQT - Chapter 124

Chapter 124

Of course, Yi Luo couldn’t possibly kill the three of them.

But naturally, those three couldn’t watch Yi Luo die either.

Yi Luo tried to hide the truth, but she was too easily tricked into revealing it.

And do you think that once they learned the truth, they would just go off and die?

They weren’t that benevolent. They didn’t care one bit about the fate of the Ancient Small World; they just wanted to take Yi Luo away, regardless of whether the world lived or died.

But Yi Luo couldn’t leave.

Even after the barrier disappeared, she still couldn’t leave.

She only had two paths: either kill the three of them or perish herself.

Even if she wanted to be selfish, it was no use, because her power was already starting to fade.

When the first person capable of summoning creatures from other worlds appeared in the Ancient Small World, one of Yi Luo’s feet had already vanished completely.

It was useless for them to kill that person, as others began to appear one after another.

At that point, they had to make a choice.

They couldn’t bear to see anything happen to Yi Luo, so they chose to have her kill them.

Of course, Yi Luo refused.

But they were exceptionally insistent.

The final result was that no one survived.

All four of them died.

Qiu Chi had never expected such an ending.

What the hell? It could actually play out like that?

Since those three were willing to die, why did she have to go and die too?

Qiu Chi couldn’t understand.

When she arrived this time, Yi Luo hadn’t drifted out yet.

Qiu Chi didn’t feel like moving. She didn’t have the patience to drift back and forth like Yi Luo, teaching Lou Ye magical incantations.

Being too emotional wasn’t a good thing. To get stuck on such a small matter and require outside help… really.

Although she felt a bit disdainful, the thought that their excess emotions were of some use to her made her feel less so.

It was just that those three youths would still have to be troubled to go and die.

After all, she wasn’t Yi Luo.

Qiu Chi was currently in the form of a Drifter, which she found quite convenient.

After leaving the Ancient Small World, she headed straight for the Magic World.

Yi Luo might have been willing to drift back and forth, but Qiu Chi certainly wasn’t.

Upon arriving in the Magic World, she went straight to the magic academy. She stayed there until she had read through every magical incantation inside before leaving.

There wasn’t much for Qiu Chi to do in this world. After all, no one else could see her, so it was impossible for them to offend her. All she could do was raise the “children.”

But before raising the children, she could take a look at the strange and fascinating things in these three small worlds.

Yi Luo wasn’t interested in mechas, but Qiu Chi was rather curious. Although they were useless to her, she could still go and learn about them.

So, Qiu Chi drifted over to the Mecha World.

The Mecha World also had an academy, and Qiu Chi once again diligently read the books there.

Only after she had finished reading all the books in the Magic and Mecha Worlds did Qiu Chi slowly drift toward the Ghost World.

She really wasn’t very interested in the Ghost World.

She knew a thing or two about metaphysics, so she wasn’t interested.

Qiu Chi wasn’t in a hurry, so she drifted slowly. Occasionally, she would make herself something to eat, but the taste was truly mediocre, much to her disdain.

Yi Luo, of course, couldn’t eat, but Qiu Chi could.

She could also make herself visible to others, but she didn’t want the hassle, so she didn’t bother.

Qiu Chi wasted some time on her way to the Ghost World.

A year had passed from the time she left the Ancient Small World to when she entered the Ghost World, which was a year earlier than when Yi Luo had arrived.

Despite arriving early, Lou Ye was still being bullied.

When Qiu Chi saw Lou Ye, the scene was much the same as when Yi Luo had found him: he was being bullied by a group of children.

The difference was that Yi Luo could only mutter to herself, scolding the children or pitying Lou Ye.

Qiu Chi, however, had the leisure to observe.

Although Lou Ye was the one being bullied now, judging by his gloomy eyes, it was clear that even without anyone’s intervention, he would get his revenge on this group sooner or later.

After watching for a moment, Qiu Chi picked up some nearby stones and gently tossed them at the children who were hitting him.

It was a very light toss; she was afraid that with slightly more force, she might kill them.

The stones that suddenly appeared and landed on them only caused them pain.

They looked around, but no one was there.

They may have only been eight or nine years old, but they had been learning about ghosts and monsters since they were five.

Seeing no one, they immediately had a guess. One of the children began chanting, trying to open his Yin Yang Eyes to see where the ghost was.

Unfortunately, it was no use.

No one could see her except for Lou Ye.

Qiu Chi continued to toss small stones at them, drifting about as she did.

They didn’t know her exact location, nor could they see her.

They were just children, after all. When they still couldn’t see the ghost even after trying to open their Yin Yang Eyes, they immediately grew frightened and ran away crying.

Only then did Qiu Chi stop. She drifted in front of Lou Ye and said, “Get up.”

Lou Ye struggled to his feet. Though young, his gaze was already heavy and dark.

He stared at Qiu Chi for a long moment before asking, “Who are you? Why did you help me? Why couldn’t they see you?”

Those kids were all more talented than him, yet none of them could see her. Only he could. Did that mean he wasn’t the good-for-nothing they claimed he was?

“You don’t need to know who I am, or anything else. Let me ask you, do you want to become powerful?”

Qiu Chi wasn’t like Yi Luo, who would try to make friends right away.

She was here with the mentality of raising a child.

Raise him up, then kill him.

Sigh. They were all going to die anyway. They might as well live a glorious and unrestrained life before that.

Though Lou Ye was young, he knew that good things didn’t just fall from the sky. Hearing Qiu Chi’s offer, he didn’t answer excitedly. Instead, he asked, “What’s your objective?”

“I do have an objective, but you don’t need to worry about it for now. After all, you still have a good eight or nine years to live. Just tell me, do you want to become powerful?”

By telling him not to worry about it, she had actually made everything quite clear.

Lou Ye’s dark eyes stared intently at Qiu Chi.

Qiu Chi calmly met his gaze.

Finally, Lou Ye nodded. “You can have my life, but I want to know who my father is, why he abandoned us, and I want to kill him! Can you make me powerful enough to do that?”

Qiu Chi nodded. “Of course.”

In these three small worlds, each of the youths had a wish they wanted to fulfill. To make them die willingly, Qiu Chi didn’t mind lending them a hand. After all, she wasn’t one to kill the innocent indiscriminately.

Seeing Qiu Chi nod, Lou Ye led her to the dilapidated house where he lived.

Then he asked, “But my talent is very ordinary. Are you sure you can help me become powerful?”

“Of course. If you don’t have the talent for cultivation and ghost-catching, you can learn something else, like magic from the Magic World or mechas from the Mecha World. It all depends on what you want to learn.”

In the end, Lou Ye chose magic.

After making his choice, he fell silent for a moment before asking, “Can you tell me about the world outside?”
