BBQT - Chapter 145

Chapter 145

When Boyis asked such an absurd question, Qiu Chi felt not only conflicted but also a little nauseous.

She set down her teacup and looked at Boyis, her expression indescribable. "Is it just because I haven't killed you? Is that what gave you such a ridiculous idea?"

As she spoke, Qiu Chi took out a new whip. "Do you have masochistic tendencies? Why else would you ask such a disgusting question? How about I help you clear your head?"

The moment she finished speaking, Qiu Chi's whip was already striking toward Boyis.

Boyis had tried to dodge before, but after discovering that the whip would land on him no matter how he moved, he had given up.

Now, as Qiu Chi whipped him, he didn't move. He even had the presence of mind to ask, "If you don't like me, then why don't you kill me? You're a human, and I'm the Vampire King. Killing me would make things much easier for your kind. You don't seem to have any reason to keep me alive, so why haven't you killed me? Why are you letting me live?"

The more he spoke, the more convinced Boyis became that Qiu Chi liked him.

Qiu Chi felt like she was going to throw up from disgust.

She used her whip to drag Boyis over, pinning him under her foot and stomping directly on his face. "You're disgusting. How did I not realize before that you were so narcissistic and delusional?"

"The only reason you're not dead is because the time isn't right. And you ask why I don't kill you? Why I'm keeping you around?"

"A piece of trash like you? I can kill you whenever I want. Do you really think you're that important?"

After torturing Boyis until he was barely breathing, Qiu Chi no longer wanted to see him and threw him out of the castle. "Get lost and don't come back. I'll beat you every single time I see you here."

Covered in blood and looking utterly wretched, Boyis stubbornly spoke. Though his voice was faint, Qiu Chi heard him clearly.

"This is my castle."

Qiu Chi sneered. "Yours? Now that I'm living here, it's mine. Got it?"

Boyis didn't get it, and Qiu Chi didn't need him to.

After stomping on his face a couple more times, Qiu Chi turned and returned to the castle, resuming her lazy sunbathing.

As for Boyis?

He wasn't going to die, so why bother with him.

The castle was now completely under Qiu Chi's rule.

Hall, who had originally been Boyis's butler, had now become Qiu Chi's.

As for the group of women in the castle who had been given to Boyis, his sudden disappearance left them feeling understandably anxious.

However, they didn't dare cause a scene in front of Qiu Chi, even though they still resented her.

Why was it that they were all human, yet they had to live in fear as mere food, while she got to be treated like a revered ancestor?

Unfortunately, they had been warned from the very beginning that anyone who made trouble for Qiu Chi would be killed. They knew they might die sooner or later, but they certainly weren't going to actively seek death. After all, they didn't want to die just yet.

Eventually, one of them went to find Hall.

When Hall heard someone ask why Boyis hadn't returned, he fell silent.

Boyis wanted to come back, too.

After all, the castle was his. He figured he could just do his best to avoid Qiu Chi and stay out of her sight.

But while the thought was nice, he couldn't get into the castle!

It was utterly absurd.

He actually couldn't get into his own castle!

After discovering this, Boyis had specifically tested it with people, werewolf corpses, and other vampires. They could all enter; only he could not.

He couldn't even contact anyone inside the castle directly.

Boyis was furious enough to die. He didn't need to guess to know it was Qiu Chi's handiwork.

But knowing was useless. He couldn't defeat Qiu Chi, so there was nothing he could do.

He could only find another vampire to go inside and speak with Hall, after which he found a random place to stay.

He was now completely helpless against Qiu Chi and deeply regretted bringing her back to the castle.

But it was easier to invite a god in than to send one away. For the moment, he couldn't think of a good solution, so he could only instruct Hall to put in a good word for him with Qiu Chi.

Hall obediently agreed to Boyis's face, but in reality, he never mentioned Boyis's name to Qiu Chi.

He might be loyal, but he didn't want to get himself killed.

Hall had witnessed Qiu Chi's power firsthand. While he didn't know why she hadn't just killed Boyis, he couldn't guarantee his own safety.

Therefore, he certainly wasn't going to take the initiative to displease this revered ancestor.

As for his homeless king outside, Hall could only apologize. It was Boyis's own fault for choosing to suffer for the sake of his pride. To avoid being discovered by the other Noble Vampires, he refused to go to his own estate.

Now that someone was asking about Boyis, Hall sent her to his side without a second thought.

Qiu Chi took note of Hall's obedience.

This time, when he came to bring her food, Qiu Chi sized him up for a moment before speaking. "Your bloodline seems quite good. You could pass for a Noble Vampire out there. So how did you end up here as a butler, serving others?"

Hall placed the food in front of Qiu Chi before replying, "I have enemies among some of the Noble Vampires outside. They wouldn't spare me if I left."

Qiu Chi's interest was piqued, but Hall clearly didn't want to elaborate.

Qiu Chi didn't press him, simply waving her hand in dismissal.

After about a month of leisurely living, people from the Church came to the castle.

This was a plan concocted by Boyis, who was outside constantly scheming for a way back into his castle.

He remembered that the Church had been sending messages to Qiu Chi.

Although she had only read the first message before ignoring the rest.

But it still suggested she was with the Church.

Finding the Church might be useless, but at this point, he had to try anything and everything.

Boyis led several members of the Church to the outside of the castle and stopped, gesturing for them to enter.

The people from the Church stood motionless.

Boyis said with displeasure, "If you're not going in, what are you dawdling for?"

The leader of the group from the Church asked, "Aren't you going in?"

Boyis's face darkened, and he vanished on the spot.

He wanted to go in, too, but he couldn't. If he could, why would he have sought out that group of people from the Church, who clearly harbored ill intentions?

After Boyis disappeared, the members of the Church looked at each other, unsure of what he was planning.

"Should we go in?"

"We've come all this way. Let's go in."

Qiu Chi had known the moment Boyis brought the Church members over. Now that they were entering, she lazily opened her eyes and said to Hall, who was beside her, "We have guests. Go and greet them."
