Chapter 3
Gu Sijiu felt that this was the most embarrassing moment of her 28 years, because Song Jinzhi's gaze was simply too devastating, making Gu Sijiu feel utterly mortified just looking at it. At this moment, her hand was still resting on a certain key area, which even twitched from her own embarrassment and tension. Gu Sijiu withdrew her hand and awkwardly pulled up her pants and underwear.
"Why are you here?" Gu Sijiu asked softly, her voice carrying its habitual gentleness. Inwardly, she was complaining that this person had to show up now, of all times, just when she was doing this. She was only investigating the body's issues, but an action like that, in someone else's eyes, probably wouldn't be seen that way...
"Get yourself sorted," Song Jinzhi said, clearly unwilling to talk more with Gu Sijiu. As soon as she finished speaking, she turned and left, giving the impression that staying in this room even one second longer was torture. Watching her walk away on her high heels, Gu Sijiu pursed her lips. She stood up and changed into the clothes that Shan Ni'er had prepared for her earlier.
Looking at the white outfit, Gu Sijiu was inwardly reluctant. She had rarely worn pants before; the dresses in her wardrobe were numerous and varied. Her skin was very fair, and vibrant colors suited her better.
But now Gu Sijiu had no choice but to accept it. She put on the outfit, and since she didn't have anything special to pack, she sat quietly in the ward, waiting.
Not long after, Song Jinzhi came in, and Gu Sijiu stood up, followed her out, and got into the car.
The car's interior was spacious and comfortable. Gu Sijiu noticed that after she climbed in and closed the door, Song Jinzhi frowned. The driver noticed this subtle gesture as well; he reached out and pressed something, and the air in the car suddenly became fresh and clear.
Gu Sijiu carefully sniffed herself, worried that she might carry a hospital smell that would bother Song Jinzhi, but she felt... there wasn't any strange odor on her.
The driver was a Beta in his fifties. Hearing Song Jinzhi call him Uncle Zhang, and judging by his behavior, Gu Sijiu thought he might not just be a driver but probably the Song family's butler.
On the way back, the atmosphere in the car was extremely quiet. Gu Sijiu knew that Song Jinzhi didn't want to talk to her, and she had no intention of initiating conversation either.
She opened her wrist communicator and called up the mirror display, examining her face. Even though she had come to another world, Gu Sijiu still cared most about her appearance.
After tidying her appearance, she took the chip from her wrist communicator and affixed it behind her ear. A beep sounded, indicating it was now connected to the holographic computer.
The technological development of this world far surpassed that of Gu Sijiu's original world. Mobile phones, computers, and many office supplies no longer appeared in physical, cumbersome forms; everything relied on this tiny chip for connection.
The chip could automatically generate holographic images in the brain, enabling not only communication but also the direct completion of office tasks.
This was the second time Gu Sijiu looked up information about female Alphas, and she once again confirmed that this body indeed had a certain defect. As a female Alpha, it lacked the so called first sexual organ: meaning the clitoris was underdeveloped. Seeing this explanation and the note added afterwards, which stated that this condition occurred in 1% of female Alphas, Gu Sijiu didn't know whether to laugh or mourn for the Original Host of this body.
Gu Sijiu didn't think this defect was a problem. After all, she had been a woman for 28 years, if something like that suddenly grew between her legs, she wouldn't know what to do. Her own physiological organs were still normal, and her appearance hadn't changed much. Apart from having a fiancee at her side, everything didn't seem too bad.
Thinking this, Gu Sijiu smiled happily, hooked the corner of her mouth, closed her eyes, and played a song. Song Jinzhi noticed her actions, withdrew her peripheral gaze, but then caught a whiff of an unfamiliar scent in the car and felt vaguely uncomfortable.
As an Omega, she knew all too well what it was like to share a car cabin with an Alpha.
Before, she had deliberately avoided being alone with Gu Sijiu in confined spaces. Now she realized just how strong the other person's scent was to her. The moment she got in the car, the overwhelming pheromones almost made Song Jinzhi cover her nose and mouth. Fortunately, Uncle Zhang noticed the anomaly and turned on the air purifier beforehand. Even so, Gu Sijiu's scent was hard to ignore.
Thinking of the days ahead, Song Jinzhi's mood grew even heavier. She hadn't come to handle Gu Sijiu's discharge procedures willingly; she had been forced to by her parents' demands.
Song Jinzhi's mother was a gentle but capable Omega, and her father was also very reasonable, without excessive Alpha supremacist notions. They had Song Jinzhi in the second year of their marriage, and three years later, they gave her a younger sister. Due to their privileged family circumstances, Song Jinzhi had been the apple of her parents' eyes since childhood. Even though she was an Omega and later had a younger sister who was an Alpha, their parents' care and affection never diminished.
Song Jinzhi knew they loved her, and precisely because of that, she couldn't refuse their requests. She recalled her father saying that she was too cold toward Gu Sijiu, her fiancee, and hadn't even visited her when she was hospitalized: that such a strained relationship would only make married life more painful. Song Jinzhi was extremely unwilling, but she knew very well that there were things she couldn't confess to her parents.
Left with no choice, she went to the hospital today, and even followed Gu Sijiu back to this home she utterly detested. The apartment she had lived in before had been sold by her parents, all so that she could live under the same roof as Gu Sijiu and foster their relationship before marriage. Thinking of this, Song Jinzhi gave a self deprecating smile. Her parents didn't understand, not all people could develop feelings over time. She and Gu Sijiu never would.
After driving for a while, they finally arrived at Gu Sijiu's home. This house had been specially built by the Gu family as the marital home for Gu Sijiu and Song Jinzhi. It was located in the best area of downtown Lanniswei, a small duplex with a garden and a swimming pool. Song Jinzhi had lived here for a period before and wasn't unfamiliar with it; Gu Sijiu, on the other hand, looked completely lost.
Looking at the house before her, she could more or less guess that this was the Original Host's home. Judging by the location and the overall house, its price far exceeded that of many luxury villas. The decor was lavish, and the tech coverage was 90%, meaning almost everything in the house could be controlled by the holographic chip, even opening and closing doors from thousands of miles away.
Gu Sijiu was fairly satisfied with this house. She got out of the car, thanked Uncle Zhang for driving, and deliberately ignored Song Jinzhi beside her. Gu Sijiu felt that Song Jinzhi had come unwillingly, yet had still brought her here out of obligation, which was already more than she could tolerate. Gu Sijiu wasn't impolite; if someone else had brought her back, she would naturally invite them in for a while. But as for Song Jinzhi, if the other didn't want to, she wouldn't force it.
"Miss, let me bring these two pieces of luggage inside for you."
"Yes, thank you, Uncle Zhang."
Gu Sijiu stood where she was, intending to see them off. However, the conversation that followed clearly didn't indicate they were leaving. She watched as Song Jinzhi unlocked the door with her fingerprint, removed her shoes at the entrance, and put on an unpacked pair of slippers. Gu Sijiu also stepped into her slippers and followed her, sitting down in the living room. Uncle Zhang placed the luggage at the door, said goodbye to Song Jinzhi, and left.
"Miss Song, are you going to stay here from now on?" Gu Sijiu asked softly. Hearing this form of address, Song Jinzhi was a bit puzzled. Gu Sijiu had never called her that since they met. Before, she was a junior schoolmate, and later she'd gotten familiar enough to call her Xiao Jin. Why was she suddenly so polite now? Song Jinzhi didn't care what Gu Sijiu called her, since she didn't even care about the person herself.
"Mm. If there's nothing else, I'll go upstairs first. The room on the far right is mine. Please don't disturb me unless it's important." After saying this, Song Jinzhi walked toward the entrance, then lifted a suitcase to carry it upstairs. The veins stood out on the back of her slender hand. Gu Sijiu sat on the sofa, watching her strained figure. After a long moment, she slowly withdrew her gaze and stared blankly at the empty table, lost in thought.
Song Jinzhi carried her luggage to her room, the one farthest from the master bedroom. She had chosen this room in the first place to be as far from Gu Sijiu as possible. Gu Sijiu didn't like servants lingering too long in her private space, so they only came at set times to clean and cook.
Thinking that only the two of them would be in this house from now on, Song Jinzhi rubbed her head wearily, wondering just how long this situation would have to last.
It took Gu Sijiu an entire afternoon to thoroughly tour this highly technological house. Coincidentally, the servant arrived just then to prepare dinner. Compared to synthetically produced meals, the servant's cooking was indeed better, but for the picky Gu Sijiu, it was still too ordinary. She didn't order anything special, just let the servant prepare something casually.
After the servant finished making dinner and left, Song Jinzhi showed no intention of coming out to eat. Gu Sijiu wouldn't take the initiative to call her either, so she had to face the table set for two alone. She quietly ate her portion and planned to take a comfortable bath before bed. After all, all the advanced technology in this house, even the bathtub, was beyond anything in her previous world.
This was a bathtub with a smart AI. It could not only automatically adjust the water temperature and change the water flow patterns but also had multiple functions like automatic massage. It could even avoid wounds and didn't require manual cleaning before or after use, as it had its own self cleaning system. Gu Sijiu looked at the clear water in the tub and couldn't wait to take off her clothes and lie down. As the comfortable hot water enveloped her body, the completely different sensation made Gu Sijiu moan softly in comfort.
She mentally ran through the injured areas of her body, and the bathtub automatically memorized them, completely avoiding the wounds during the massage. It was the first time Gu Sijiu had taken a bath that lasted a full two hours before she reluctantly climbed out. Then she stood in front of the mirror and carefully examined this body. It was the first time since coming to this world that she had looked so closely.
The facial features and appearance were indeed almost identical to her former self. Perhaps because the average lifespan here was longer, this face actually looked even younger and more delicate than before. Since the Original Host's mother was not of Asian descent, Gu Sijiu's facial contours and features were very three dimensional. Her eye sockets were deeper than average, and the outer corners of her eyes were particularly striking and beautiful. Her pair of peach blossom eyes were bright and clear when open wide, and when narrowed, the corners lifted attractively. Her irises weren't the common black or brown either; they were a dark red that subtly matched her hair color.
Gu Sijiu played with the long, deep cherry colored hair. The Original Host's hair was very long, hanging straight down to her waist. This was her natural hair color, without any dyeing. The hair quality was excellent, looking very smooth and silky. Gu Sijiu ran her hand over her face, then gradually down to her collarbone and abdomen.
In her previous world, she would occasionally hit the gym, but only to the point of having a flat stomach. This body was different. As a soldier, it had clearly defined abdominal muscles, and the prominent mermaid lines rose and fell with her breathing. The muscle contours were exceptionally enticing under the light. Overall, except for the chest, Gu Sijiu was fairly satisfied with this body. She covered her chest with her arm, glanced at herself in the mirror from the corner of her eye, and thought that there should still be room for growth here. This world was so advanced; breast enhancement techniques were certainly better than those in her old world. If she wanted, getting bigger wouldn't be difficult.
Thinking this, Gu Sijiu mentally awarded this body a perfect score. She was looking at it in high spirits when her gaze accidentally dropped to the area between her legs, and she froze slightly. Her previous body had been an ordinary Asian one, with body hair that was naturally black. But this Original Host wasn't, so the hair in that certain place was a similar color to her head hair. Gu Sijiu looked down at that tuft of curled, red pubic hair... Well... it's... actually quite nice, isn't it?
After doing a simple skincare routine, Gu Sijiu applied the medicine the hospital had prescribed. But when she thought of the wounds on her back, she ran into a problem. She couldn't see or reach her back, so she had to get someone to help. Yet the only other person in the house now was Song Jinzhi. Although the other seemed to detest her, at this moment, she truly couldn't apply the medicine alone. If she asked nicely, she might not be so resistant, right?
After thinking it over, Gu Sijiu didn't want to neglect her health, so she decided to go ask Song Jinzhi for help.
