Erotic Survival Game - Chapter 315

Chapter 315: Living Coffin (4)

Another life-or-death choice between two options…

Ji Ning paused for a moment, walked to the nearest coffin and looked inside, finding the space much narrower than she had imagined.

She turned her head, her gaze passing between Yan Qiao and Sheng Churan, then whispered to Sheng Churan, "How about I go with Yan Qiao? He's a bit thinner than you."

Hearing this, Yan Qiao's eyebrows unconsciously lifted, and his tense expression relaxed.

Sheng Churan looked at the ground thoughtfully, nodded, then smiled. "Alright."

Having decided on the arrangement, the three discreetly pretended to look around, and finally stood before the two coffins in the middle on the far left that no one had chosen.

However, even though they didn't act like they knew the correct answer, they still drew the attention of a few clueless players.

Gradually those players gathered around, especially around Yan Qiao where the crowd was the thickest.

Yan Qiao pulled Ji Ning into the gap between himself and the coffins to shield her, drew a large rusty iron scissors from behind his coat at the waist, and sneered, "Come on, if you're not afraid to die, try to take it from me. Let's see if these scissors are sharp enough to jab your eyeballs into a pulp."

Ji Ning's eyes widened; she guessed that these terrifying-looking scissors were something Yan Qiao had swiped from the village chief's house.

Yan Qiao was crazy enough, and he held the sharpest weapon with the most fighting power at the moment, so those people backed up half a step, but still glared at them covetously, driven by their will to survive and unwillingness to give up.

Yan Qiao steadied Ji Ning's waist: "You crawl in first."

The coffins were set on two wooden benches, the lid at about half a person's height, so getting in was a bit tricky.

Ji Ning figured she couldn't help much outside and would only hold Yan Qiao back from fighting, so she stepped on the bench that stuck out a little under the coffin, climbed over, and sat inside.

Three people surrounded Yan Qiao and her, but luckily the scissors kept them at bay. Only one person surrounded Sheng Churan, and that person clearly wasn't a match for his size.

The situation wasn't particularly dire.

Just as Ji Ning thought that, someone skirted around to the side where Yan Qiao wasn't and grabbed for her. Ji Ning pulled back the hand she had braced on the coffin wall and lay back inside. Unable to reach her, the person grabbed the coffin and shook it, nearly tipping it over.

Yan Qiao reacted instantly, lunging with the scissors and stabbing the person's hand, skin tearing and blood spurting instantly. Seeing an opening, the people behind him were about to swarm in together when several dark figures appeared at the doorway opposite them.

If one could see the sun, when everyone was searching for coffins it would have been sunset. Now, it was as if the sun had fallen behind the western mountains, withdrawing the last trace of light from the world.

The things standing outside the door looked human but weren't; their shadows were eerily thin and long, yet not stretched from distance.

It was chilling to behold.

With this sudden eerie manifestation, those who hadn't found a coffin yet ran out of time and scrambled into the nearest ones. Even the person who had just been stabbed by Yan Qiao turned and fled.

The people surrounding Yan Qiao still hadn't moved, perhaps unwilling to give up what might be the right choice.

At that moment, a loud "smack" resounded on the doorframe, and the wooden latch that the players had locked was jolted loose, the door opening a crack.

Now those malicious people dared not delay any longer, hastily picking any coffin and climbing in.

Ji Ning sat up and reached for Yan Qiao: "Quick!"

Sheng Churan was already inside a coffin, only Yan Qiao remained outside to prevent Ji Ning from being shaken out again.

There was no one nearby now, so Yan Qiao didn't hesitate any longer. He easily vaulted into the coffin with a push off the bench, hands on the sides, lowering himself lightly to wedge beside Ji Ning, then reached back and pulled the coffin lid closed tightly.

Once the lid was fully shut, it was pitch black inside, so dark nothing could be seen.

The coffin's space was only enough for two people to lie pressed tightly on their sides, unable to move at all.

Yan Qiao put away the scissors, lifted Ji Ning up with both hands, then lay flat on his back, letting her lie fully on top of him.

Through the coffin, the outside sounds were faint but just audible. Clearly, the door was smashed open, and a group of unknown things entered from outside, their footsteps light and soundless.

Ji Ning's heart pounded wildly, her hands unconsciously clutching Yan Qiao's shoulders.

The situation was so tense that Ji Ning didn't notice Yan Qiao's hand rise to cover hers, and his other arm wrap around her tightly.
