Erotic Survival Game - Chapter 352

Chapter 352: Theme KTV (9)

Ji Ning, her reputation utterly and spectacularly ruined, walked out of the room in a daze. Even by the time they switched to the second room, she still hadn't come to terms with the fact that she'd failed so miserably to impress in front of a newcomer.

Thankfully, Li Xiu didn't press the issue. He didn't seem to think much of it, or maybe he just thought it was normal, and he kept half a step ahead of her as they walked.

The five of them entered the Ghost Castle room. It was empty, so it seemed the others hadn't started in this room.

Then again, knowing the game's penchant for screwing people over, even if it was the same type of room, the two different groups could have completely different experiences. There was no real reference value.

The castle's decor was steeped in a medieval European aesthetic, making everyone feel as if changing rooms was like changing worlds.

The room itself was arranged like a chamber in an old castle. The wardrobe leaning against the wall even held men's and women's vintage Rococo-era clothing.

Since this was a horror-themed room, the air conditioning was cranked down low. Once inside, it was fine for the men in their long sleeves and pants, but the women, dressed almost entirely in revealing outfits, were soon shivering, their teeth chattering from the cold.

After walking a circle around the room, a glint of interest flashed in Li Xiu's eyes. He took a set of men's clothing and unhurriedly changed into it: a cotton leg-of-mutton sleeve shirt, an exquisite dark vest with gold-thread jacquard, tight breeches, and tall boots.

Once dressed, he looked exactly like a nobleman straight out of ancient France.

All eyes were fixed on him, unable to look away, as he picked up a large, dusty-pink gown and handed it to Ji Ning for her to change into.

The two female players, No. 3 and No. 7, saw this and instantly clicked—of course! They wouldn't be cold if they wore the clothes provided here. No. 5 was just doing his own thing, but it conveniently solved No. 6's issue with keeping warm.

Under the pressure of the two women's stares, No. 9 had no choice but to change his outfit as well, then fetched a skirt for each of them to wear.

The five of them collectively changed costumes, perfectly blending into the setting.

Coupled with the solo piano music playing automatically in the room, if one could ignore the employees dressed as ghosts who could burst in at any moment, the scene was a bit like a retro-themed party thrown by some bored rich people.

Ji Ning put the large dress on over her little slip dress. Unable to reach the zipper on her back all the way up by herself, Li Xiu walked over behind her and gave her a hand.

Once the dress was on, he had her pressed against the wallpapered wall.

With one hand planted beside her ear, he asked in a low voice, "Will there really be ghosts?"

Right then, as if on cue, the backstage staff saw that the customers were ready and cut most of the lights in the entrance area. The room was immediately plunged into dimness.

Without the bright lights, the retro vibe intensified.

Ji Ning leaned against the wall and looked up at Li Xiu. The last bit of anachronistic dissonance that time travel inherently brings vanished completely. Even with only his silhouette and facial outline visible, he looked like a tall, handsome prince.

"If 'real' is a part of this scenario, then there really are ghosts," she replied to Li Xiu, keeping her head clear thanks to her long-term immunity developed from facing a lineup of handsome men.

"Then how should we deal with them?" Li Xiu asked, looking at her.

Ji Ning shook her head instinctively. The question had come to that point, but the truth was, she didn't know either. If following her initial train of thought, she'd only need to shout it out once she identified what was real and what was fake. Even then, it seemed a little too easy.

All she could tell him was, "If you're scared, just stand behind me."

A look of surprise flickered across Li Xiu's brow.

The dim lighting concealed his micro-expressions. Ji Ning didn't notice that not only did he smile, he also moved in much closer.

He stared at her for a long moment before saying, a little awkwardly, "It'd be rude not to order a song, right? Let's go pick some songs."
